"Timeless and Ever-New, Borrowing from the Past to Cherish the Present – Why is Cantonese Opera So Extravagant?" Interactive Mobile Exhibition
The famous Cantonese opera line, "A small boat gently sails away~", comes from the iconic masterpiece "The Unfinished Love and Hate in the Phoenix Pavilion" by the once wildly popular "Tai Lung Fung Opera Troupe". During the golden age of Cantonese opera, how did the "Tai Lung Fung Opera Troupe" leave such a deep impression on the public? This interactive exhibition takes audiences back to the 1950s and 1960s in Hong Kong, immersing them in the atmosphere of old Hong Kong to rediscover the popular culture of that time—Cantonese opera. It introduces the founding history of the Tai Lung Fung Opera Troupe and analyzes "The Unfinished Love and Hate in the Phoenix Pavilion", guiding audiences to appreciate this classic Cantonese opera.
The exhibition also includes interactive games, allowing visitors to personally create "opera bridges", providing a fresh perspective to appreciate this traditional yet once-popular cultural lifestyle.
